The enemy is at war with our hearts, souls, and mi The enemy is at war with our hearts, souls, and minds. We can’t fight an enemy we don’t acknowledge. Evil exists in this world—and the only thing strong enough to overcome it is love! LOVE is the answer.

Trying so hard to take a social media break, but my heart breaks for our world. Let’s weep together for a world that is lost and broken… How are you combatting the darkness? Are you shining a light for Him? Are you choosing love in the really hard places?

Until we, collectively, as a nation choose the path of laying down our agendas, busyness, biases, and pride, EVIL will continue to flourish and our world—broken! It begins with us, friends.

NO MORE of this tit-for-tat stuff! Live generously.* LOVE GENEROUSLY!

Have you joined the quest and accepted the greatest challenge ever issued to mankind—loving an unlovable world!? [link in bio] 🙏🏻💕

Resting, I thought, was never a “problem” for Resting, I thought, was never a “problem” for me. I can nap in the loudest of conditions. A habit I developed growing up with four kids in the house. In recent months, God has been speaking to me about the importance of rest. So, I’m planning to take a social media slow-down [because ‘break’ just seems so harsh] for most of the summer. I’ll be working behind the scenes refreshing my mind and spirit, but won’t be as present here in these pages.

‘Til then, friends, keep deepening your knowledge of God’s love… and spread LOVE wherever you go.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” - Ecc. 3:1

Have a great summer, friends! 💕 DM me with important, or not-so-important, matters, if ya want to.

“Be still and know I am God” was my mama’s f “Be still and know I am God” was my mama’s favorite Bible verse. She chanted it over and over in her final days. There is something about resting that was not in her DNA. Everyone who knew her “knew” she was always going; always running circles around everyone else. Very few could keep up. She was the Energizer Bunny and she literally kept going-and-going, until she could go no further. Selfless all of her ‘live-long’ days, she was always serving others. Rarely, did she ever complain.

Resting, I thought, was never a “problem” for me. I can nap in the loudest of conditions. A habit I developed growing up with four kids in the house. In recent months, God has speaking to me about the importance of rest. By no means am I my mother, but walking through two major life crises back-to-back and experiencing so many life changes, all at once, has me exhausted. I plan to take a social media slow-down [because ‘break’ just seems so harsh] for most of the summer. I’ll be working behind the scenes refreshing my mind and spirit. But I won’t be as present here in these pages.

Recently, I read Nothing is complete until it serves the purpose for which God has created it.* Living this one life for Kingdom purpose is my hope and prayer… I pray I use it to love, fiercely!

Hug your mama, friends. Do all you can to honor and cherish her while she is alive. Funerals are for the living… 💕

We were leaving Nashville early Sunday morning, wh We were leaving Nashville early Sunday morning, when we learned of Naomi Judd’s passing. Naomi was often ‘out and about’ in the community. Once while shopping in south Nashville, I saw her and felt a nudge to relay the amazing impact she had made on a room full of ‘Hollywood’ insiders. Sadly, I let the opportunity slip my grasp.

The story was relayed to me by a giant in the industry. He recalled Naomi immediately stopping an industry wrap party to lead everyone in prayer as tragedy struck. We had just bombed Afghanistan. Her impact on the crowd that night, quite possibly, stretched into eternity. It certainly impressed my friend. Oh, how I wish I’d taken the opportunity, when given, to share her Kingdom impact.

People of faith struggle in this world the same as unbelievers. The only difference is we’ve been given the assurance of HOPE in something bigger than this world. If you are a person of faith and struggling with hope in this life, I want to invite you to ‘lean in’ and listen close.

There is no shame in seeking professional help. You are no less of a believer because you are struggling. We all struggle. Matter of fact, God promises us we will experience ‘struggle’ in this world.

[But] HOPE does not disappoint us [or put us to shame] because God has poured His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given to us. [Rom. 5:5]

[And] Though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging, I will not fear. God is my refuge and my strength, an ever-present help in trouble. [Psalm 46:2]

An everlasting hope exists, friends.

Knock on as many doors as necessary, until you find it. Phone a trusted friend. Call a hotline. Seek medical attention. Ask God to breath his “blessed assurance” into your lungs. And remember, God says…

For I know the plans I have for you. Plans for welfare and not for harm to give you a future and a hope. [Jer. 29:11]

If I could talk someone off the ledge today, I would tell them “Feelings are temporary, but suicide is permanent.” 💕 Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1-800-273-TALK

LOVE is the light of the world. At the heart of ac LOVE is the light of the world. At the heart of accepting The Love Challenge is a “holy yearning” for God’s LOVE to illuminate your life.

“And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become more like him.” - 2 Cor. 3:18

When we meet the challenge to love a broken world with extraordinary grace and unfathomable love, we are transformed to Christ-likeness. GRACE kept marching towards Jerusalem—towards death. Not that we could ever hope to accomplish this remarkable feat in our own strength, but that we traverse in Christ’s example.

Exchanging this kind of Calvary marching, self-sacrificing love for evil and unkindness in this world is how we will serve as “light bearers” and point others to Jesus. How can you march towards your own Jerusalem this week? Let me hear from you in the comments below. ✨💕

“To be so full of God’s love, I no longer fathom speaking an unkind word or committing an unkind deed.” This is my quest, join me!?
