What is so incredibly beautiful about perfect LOVE What is so incredibly beautiful about perfect LOVE is that when you pass all things are perfected. Sure there are a few things I regret not doing while we still had him, but our precious Mickey is now whole. He can see, hear, and jump again. He can see our imperfect love for him fully PERFECTED. We were so blessed to have had him for 16 years. He loved so unconditionally—and selflessly. Since leaving the animal hospital (on Friday), he never went a single minute without being held. We kept vigil throughout the night holding him (and each other) tight. For months I prayed that God would take Mickey in his sleep when it was his time. But God always knows best—and answers our prayers better than we ever dared to ask or imagine. As we made our way to the vet (Sat am), Mickey fell asleep in #StormyGirl’s arms. He remained asleep throughout the process. He went to Heaven surrounded by those who loved him most with the most peaceful look on his face. Discouraged by the events of the day, I sensed God Discouraged by the events of the day, I sensed God nudging me to look out my car window. Shining through the steamy rays of what felt like endless disappointment was a perfect reminder of GOD’S PROMISE smiling back at me. “Dare I hope, Lord?”, I thought. I’d experienced this sort of nudging once before with another rainbow sighting. Again, the pervading thought, “Dare I hope, Lord?” I’m reminded of the rare, double rainbow Nashville’s @covenantknights experienced in 2023 when tragedy threatened their hope in an unseen God. And I’m perfectly wrecked all over again by the goodness of God. And the audacity of hope! The promise of the rainbow is God’s gift to a broken, troubled world. It represents the perfect and the imperfect, the seen and the unseen, the now and the not yet. “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior—and my hope is in you all day long (Psalm 25:4-6).” Our hope, as believers, rests in an unseen reality. Dare to hope in the promises of the Lord. He really does love us, y’all! Have you experienced a true-blue, storm-wrapped promise fulfilled through a rainbow sighting?
