WHY I Give… A Lesson My Grandmother Taught Me

My grandma always gave a little something to every organization who solicited her (ie: Red Cross, etc..) I’m beyond convinced she based this practice on biblical truth. It always impressed me how she lived her faith like that… It is very easy to say no to a piece of mail!? *********** When…

There is a school of thought in Christendom that t There is a school of thought in Christendom that trivializes love. But LOVE is the only thing God requires of us.* Love is how we reveal His mercy, His compassion, His grace, His gentleness, His unfathomable love to a watching, wandering world.

Perfect love is the crown of highest excellence the climax of God’s essence in our lives. Love is “the fulfillment of all duty.”*

“And now these three remain; faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13).

Choosing to love in an adversarial world is far from easy! But always worth it. Raise a hand 🙋🏼‍♀️ to receive the link to download, How to Love a Not-So-Lovable World. 💕

I can’t recommend Heaven is a World of Love by Jon Edwards enough. This book is small, but mighty. And reads like poetry. 💕

Maybe like me you’ve struggled with what to pray Maybe like me you’ve struggled with what to pray over the last few days as the news of kerrville, tx and camp mystic slowly infiltrated your feeds. As a mama, I’m heartsick. As a believer, I’m wrought with ‘why’.

But God is merciful and good. He bottles our tears. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those crushed in spirit. He is always for us and never against us. He is the Author and Finisher in whom our souls find rest.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27).

“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thessalonians 3:16). 🙏🏻🤍

FREEDOM isn’t free. Its price comes at great cos FREEDOM isn’t free. Its price comes at great cost and sacrifice. But freedom doesn’t mean we do as we please. We are set free to call others to the freedom in Christ we enjoy! 🙌🏻

“It is for freedom, that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1).

Spread LOVE on this #freedomday, y’all! 💕 Happy Fourth of July, friends! 🇺🇸

Since the new year, I’ve been quietly memorizing Since the new year, I’ve been quietly memorizing a new scripture each month. It’s been a great tool for renewing my mind when life’s stressors come crashing in. I hope to share these with you at the start of each month.

Memorizing is a bit more difficult (especially longer passages) than in my youth. But the results of focusing my energies have been my deepest reward.

Do you commit scripture to memory? What are your best tips and tricks?

“Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, “Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:37-40). 💕
