How to Not Be a Stumbling Block for Others [and love like Jesus]

Doing What I Do Not Want to Do “For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not keep doing what I want. Instead, I do what I hate.” – Romans 7:15 Do you ever wish you hadn’t done or said something unkind? Or maybe you simply withheld a kindness when given…

How to Show Kindness [in an Unkind World]

The most random act of kindness we can commit is to answer unkind words and deeds with extraordinary grace. True kindness is Spirit produced and matters most when it is the least expected or warranted. The key to Spirit-filled kindness begins with the idea all of us are undeserving in light of the cross. Jesus…

Discouraged by the events of the day, I sensed God Discouraged by the events of the day, I sensed God nudging me to look out my car window. Shining through the steamy rays of what felt like endless disappointment was a perfect reminder of GOD’S PROMISE smiling back at me.

“Dare I hope, Lord?”, I thought.

I’d experienced this sort of nudging once before with another rainbow sighting. Again, the pervading thought, “Dare I hope, Lord?”

I’m reminded of the rare, double rainbow Nashville’s @covenantknights experienced in 2023 when tragedy threatened their hope in an unseen God. And I’m perfectly wrecked all over again by the goodness of God. And the audacity of hope!

The promise of the rainbow is God’s gift to a broken, troubled world. It represents the perfect and the imperfect, the seen and the unseen, the now and the not yet.

“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior—and my hope is in you all day long (Psalm 25:4-6).”

Our hope, as believers, rests in an unseen reality. Dare to hope in the promises of the Lord. He really does love us, y’all!

Have you experienced a true-blue, storm-wrapped promise fulfilled through a rainbow sighting? As always, I’d love to hear. 💕

Hope is life-giving. And Jesus is our living hope! Hope is life-giving. And Jesus is our living hope! He brings us out of death and despair—and places within us “the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27).

Hope is the characterization of our salvation in Christ. And where there is Hope, there is life—abundantly (John 10:10). Who wouldn’t want to share the good news of a living hope with a world in desperate need of a Savior?

I think the biggest fallacy we have as mothers is I think the biggest fallacy we have as mothers is that our children no longer need us after they turn 18. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Being a mom means being a lifetime prayer warrior.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28a).
