Learning Trust, Finding Gratitude… and Counting it all Joy!
With a heart exceedingly full of GRATITUDE is how I’m planning to celebrate this season of Thanksgiving… I’m grateful for answered prayers! Some of which were decades in the making… And as someone currently walking out of a desert season of unanswered prayers, all I can say is I’m grateful! So immensely grateful for all the blessings…
The perspective life gives you at the mid-century mark recognizes the coming and going of seasons in life… it reminds you this go-round to be still. And to notice… notice what the Lord has done and what He is doing! Soak it all in… The season of answered prayers is for thanksgiving! But it is also a time for rest and preparation. Wisdom reminds there will be more battles to be fought… and won!
God is so faithful, friends. He sees the bigger picture. He knows the end-results. I’ve found an unshakeable, walking-through-the-fire, TRUST that God is for me and no weapon formed against me will thwart his plans for me. It gives me PEACE in the storm and gratitude in the rainbow…
“Count it all joy, my brethren when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect[ed] and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2–4*
My prayer is God will continue to refine me til the day my journey ends so I may be perfected in Him.
What season are you currently in? How can I pray for YOU in this season?
