Being Equipped and Finding DELIGHT… [in the journey].

I’ve been working long days on a passion project with a hard deadline… So, one day last week when I skipped my usual, extended-play version of Bible study due to time constraints, I felt comfortable with the shortened edition. Because my heart longed, instead, to be in the Word.

Truthfully, I’ve grown to LOVE this time of morning. I’m on the homestretch of a read-through-the-Bible-in-a-year plan which has stretched over, let’s just say, more than a year!? But today, as I contemplated the choice, I felt – and heard – differently.  God’s gentle voice told me, today, when I’m NOT feeling that longing, is exactly the day I need to jump in and make time to be in His presence drinking in His Word. And He was right, as of course—He always is! And boy was I blessed by being in His Word that day…

The Bible equips us for our journey and we are called to practice it’s truths. It’s transforming authority should guide us wherever we go. God’s word should—always, be our delight!

“If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.” Psalm 119:92

How are you finding delight in the Lord and His Word, today? I’d love to hear… 💕
