H O P E . . . (on a Starbucks run)

My husband has a favorite road. It is right here in Nashville proper (where we live) and just an easy ten minutes from downtown. Each time we go to the grocery store, make a Starbucks run, or have a small errand (in close proximity,) we take this road back to our home. And we count the deer. It is our own little respite – smack dab in the wilds of Nashville!

Yesterday, we caught this mama and her babies on camera. One day last week, we counted eleven deer, three skunks (a first), and a screech owl. Each time we travel down this road, a cut-through to home, we do so with much hope and great anticipation of the wildlife we’ll see. And we count them… Rarely, are we disappointed.

This week a prayer I prayed for 10+ years was answered. I gave up trying to make it happen (on my own) 2-3 years ago. Instead, I decided to trust God. And His timing. So I waited… And I watched… with great anticipation. And always with hope.

Friends, when God is on the move, let me tell you “HE IS ON THE MOVE… And He moves quickly!” (My answered prayers have taught me that.) But if you’re not buckled in for the ride, you’ll get tossed and turned by the waves – missing all the adventure! God is ever-present in the details of our lives. Everyday miracles, abound!

God is preparing a way for you (as He did for me.) He has plans for us… And plans, not for harm, but for good! If only we would trust… if only we would believe. Faith is ‘things’ unseen. And HOPE, my friends, is for you and me…

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isa. 40:31
