Over My Head… [Hope and Prayer for Heavenly Justice]
Yesterday, someone in my feed asked the question “What moment over the past year stands out for you?” She was referring to George Floyd, of course.
One such moment was the words of @esaumccaulley when He said “LOVE is sufficient to gather all the divided peoples of the world, people like George Floyd. There is a God of justice who sees and acts on behalf of the world, people like George Floyd. There is a king and a kingdom. And He has given us His Spirit to make Him known to the ends of the earth.”
I also loved the viral moment of police woman, Monique Lewis, crying in agreement as she recounted the kind stranger’s words “Y’all, there is never enough PRAYER.”
Hearing the spiritual “Over My Head, I Hear Music in the Air” for the first time baptized me in the sweet, fragrant perfume of God’s unfathomable love and provided the soothing balm my achey soul needed. I snapped this photo hurriedly last evening while leaving the local grocer parking lot and remarked to hubby “these are MUSIC in the air clouds”. Only later did they speak to me so profoundly as to suggest “these clouds are for George Floyd”.
“Over my head,
I hear music in the air.
And I really do believe,
There’s a Heaven somewhere.”
GOD loves both the oppressor and the oppressed. But He is closest to the crushed in spirit… My hope and prayer for the future of our nation is we’ll become “woke” to the lies of the enemy. And instead, create cause for others to believe.
Do not let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in Me. Hebrews 11:1
“To be so full of God’s unfailing love, I could not fathom speaking an unkind word or committing an unkind deed.” 💕
